Effective backwash cleaning

This filter features an ingenious backwash system. When activated, the water will flow backwards through the filter, allowing it to flush out any impurities it may have retained without shutting off your home's water supply.

This rinsing water is simply connected to the waste water drain or collected in a bucket if you don't have a drain nearby.

Automatic filter washing is possible!

As an OPTION, this filter can also be fitted with a box that will activate the backwash automatically, so you won't have to worry about it.

Appliance protection against excess pressure

Thanks to its pressure gauge, checking the correct water pressure in your home is child's play.
It will then be easy to adjust the pressure regulator to protect all the appliances that use water in the home.

A pressure of 3 bars is sufficient for the plumbing systems in a home to function optimally.
Above 3 bars, the pressure is considered too high and it is advisable to reduce it.

1bar = 0.1 MPa - recommended setting 3 bars = 0.3 MPa

What are the consequences of too much pressure?

Premature wear of sanitary appliances

Washing machines, dishwashers and water heaters are designed to withstand normal pressures. However, if they are regularly subjected to excessive pressure, their lifespan will be drastically shortened. This is also often the cause of many breakdowns.
Replacing or repairing these appliances can quickly prove very costly.

Water leaks at sensitive points

Today, there are many different technologies used to connect pipes (crimping, welding, compression, etc.). Even if they are designed to withstand pressures well in excess of 3 bar, they can become sensitive, deteriorate significantly and even leak if they are subjected to excessively high pressure too regularly.

Irrational waste of water

Water flow is also linked to pressure. Above 3 bars, the constant flow through safety groups, toilet flushes and our taps represents a significant increase in water consumption, which will be reflected in the bill!

Difficult to adjust mixer tap temperature

Thermostatic valves are designed to work optimally when the pressure is even. If the pressure is too low, the hot and cold water will not be mixed in the correct proportions to achieve the desired temperature.

Slamming and hissing in the pipes

As you will have noticed, in some installations, when a tap is closed too quickly, a loud slamming sound is heard. This noise is known in the trade as "water hammer". As well as causing a nuisance in terms of noise, this banging will weaken all the welds over the long term, and the shock wave can even cause pipes to rupture, resulting in water damage.
