Our cartridge has been designed to allow water to remain in contact with the media for as long as possible.
Water passes through the cartridge axially upwards and remains in contact with the filter bed for longer.
In combination with the catalytic properties of the media, it deprives the water that has passed through the cartridge of virtually all iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide.
This has the effect of reducing the problem of rust stains on fittings, metallic water taste and unpleasant rotten egg smell.
These cartridges are compatible with all standard 10" inch filter holders (not suitable for 9 3/4").
