How does it work and is it difficult to install?

It is simply installed by assembling the 2 parts it forms around the water pipe you want to treat. Water, by crossing the overpowering magnetic field of rare earth neodymium magnets, will act on minerals and other materials suspended in the water, causing them to lose their adherent property. This state of crystallization of water in the form of aragonite will last at least 24 hours before it recovers its initial properties.

In most homes, it takes much longer than it takes for your water to move between your water supply and its exit to the sewer and the wastewater system.


Where to install a magnetic limescale remover?

Where should it be placed and is it the right model?

The Mi power magnetic softener is installed in the main water pipe to treat all the water in the house (cold and hot). It is designed for pipes with an internal diameter of less than 16 millimetres, which corresponds to a water flow rate of approximately 20 litres per minute. This is generally the maximum water flow rate used by a family of less than 4 people with one bathroom.

Please note that for convenience and to avoid having large quantities of pipes with different diameters, installers often use a pipe of 25mm or more, the main pipe in your home may be larger than necessary. To avoid buying a more expensive model unnecessarily, you can check for yourself the diameter you should have on your home: method of calculating the main diameter of a house pipe

To optimise the results, it can be installed after a double or backwashable water filter as softeners do not remove impurities from the water.

Installation tips

  • The anti-limescale device will be installed in the main pipe.
    It does not matter whether it is before or after the water meter.
  • The device can be installed in any direction.
  • In one of the two parts of the system, the nuts are already integrated.
  • The additional nuts are to be screwed on the screw head side.
    They are used to tighten the two parts of the anti-limescale system together without the threaded rod protruding and interfering with the installation.
  • The larger the diameter of the pipe, the larger the space between the two parts of the system.
    This gap does not hinder the effectiveness of the system, as it allows the magnets to be as close to the pipe as possible.
  • In order for the field to act properly on the water flow, they must attract each other.

Good practices for optimal operation

This system should not be installed on pipes that magnetise.
There is therefore no contraindication for plastic pipes, copper, aluminium, etc...
A simple check can be carried out with a standard fridge magnet:

  • if the magnet is not attracted to the pipe, installation is possible.

If not, simply insert a section of non-ferrous pipe of your choice and of the right length so that the magnetic field can act.
This dismantling can also be a good opportunity to install a filtration system.

The magnetic fields of the Mi Power do not affect nearby electrical appliances. Only small electronic devices such as watches, calculators or magnetic bank cards could be affected in their operation if placed directly on the magnet.

For optimum effectiveness, please install the Mi Power as close as possible to your home or to the items to be treated.
A distance of more than 40 metres will greatly reduce the effectiveness.


Installation of an anti-limescale with a filter

Magnetic scale removers are not curative. They will not destroy the deposits that have formed in the water pipes that supply your installation before your water meter.

So sludge, sand and other impurities could continue to accumulate in your boilers, water heaters and other taps...
Sometimes filings or iron particles can be found in the water. Filtration will have the advantage of retaining them and preventing them from gradually accumulating in the magnets. The anti-scale operation and the good flow of the water would then be disturbed.

You will have understood that a water filter is strongly recommended to optimise long-term operation.

The general water supply pipe is often oversized, that's why the system can be installed on pipes up to 25mm but the maximum water flow that can be treated should not exceed 20l/min which corresponds to a pipe with an inner diameter of 18mm.

For a higher water flow rate or a more calcareous water, by installing several devices the efficiency will be improved.

The two magnetized parts must also be placed in opposition of pole (i.e. attract each other)

After reading on the site the principle of operation of this magnet, I wanted to try and after several weeks now of use, the product works for me in my house (- of 80 m2). The result is there, my kitchen sink in black granite that I had to clean with vinegar often, it's over, as it is said on the site, a sponge stroke from time to time to remove the fine white deposit (aragonite) that settles in place of limestone, very easy to remove, for me, it's perfect. le système n'est pas curatif.(le calcaire existant n'est pas détruit.)
Il faut nettoyer avant installation. Il faut aussi utiliser un filtre si on ne veut pas continuer de faire rentrer chez soi les dépôts du réseau public qui se forment avant chez vous.
Le calcaire qui se forme toujours n'est plus incrustant et ne forme plus de plaque. Il reste en suspension dans l'eau et s’évacue avec elle. Là ou l'eau stagne il reste mais il est plus friable et facile à nettoyer.
Donc si au bout de plusieurs mois il n'y a pas de changement c'est que ça fonctionne sinon cela se serait empiré.

Bilan mitigé
Very expensive for a result not very convincing. I am however far from being under-dimensioned with 2 POWERMAG 10800 gauss (on 16mm diameter) + two extensions of 20550Gauss (dishwasher and washing machine) + 3 extensions 14000 Gauss for the shower column and the shower and bathtub heads) + 3 anti-scale rings in the toilet tank. Thus arranged, the cold water is exposed twice to the high power magnetic fields, and the hot water twice upstream of the tank + once downstream. With all this artillery at a total cost of 280€, the results are - a much softer skin and hair in an obvious way - no obvious findings on dishes and laundry - a slight improvement on shower walls and taps - unverifiable on pipes, hot water tank, dishwasher and washing machine resistors. - Magic on the toilet tank, and a slight improvement in the bowl. So yes, magnetism undoubtedly has an effect on water and/or its components. Is the investment worth it? Everyone should judge....

Le tarif de 280 euros d'investissement est très bas comparé par exemple à des adoucisseurs d'eau qui coûtent au minimum 500 euros sans la pose et peuvent atteindre des tarifs de 2500 euros voir plus posés.


Les anti calcaires magnétiques sont peu curatif et n'enlèvent que très peu le calcaire existant. Nettoyez bien vos robinets et autres accessoires et vous constatez l’efficacité sur du long terme.


Les anti calcaires magnétiques n'enlèvent pas le calcaire mais le transforment en aragonite qui est une forme de cristallisation du magnésium et du calcium plus mou et moins incrustant. Ce type de calcaire se dissous et va partir avec le flux de l'eau.


Vous aurez donc toujours des traces mais moins, vos robinets ne se boucherons plus et les résistances deviendront blanches sans qu'une couche de calcaire épaisse ne vienne se former en plaques.


D'autre part il manque à votre installation un filtre a sédiment. Vous n’empêchez pas actuellement les dépôts, sable du réseau pubique... et le calcaire qui s'est formé avant votre installation continuera de rentrer chez vous...

Results after 15 days of use.
After 2 weeks of use, here are my findings.
First of all, I cleaned the faucets, the shower and the sink, as well as the toilet bowl and the coffee maker tank.
So far:
- There are no traces of limescale on the aerators.
- On the shower fittings and the washbasin, I still see white marks, but they are easy to clean.
- The coffee maker tank is still streak free, I can't see the white lines at the different water levels anymore, as it empties.
- And where it seems more obvious to me is in the toilet bowl, before every week I had to scrape and use strippers, since then, when I try to scrape, nothing sticks.
Perhaps, it takes time to be sure of the effectiveness of the magnetic anti-limescale, but so far I am very satisfied!

No problems with the ordering, delivery and installation of this anti-limescale device. I would have bought the top model for optimal operation, but the much larger size of the GAUSS 12000 model meant that I had to modify the plumbing because my water inlet piping is very "compact" and very tangled (not enough room to fit the GAUSS 12000 model). Please think about designing thinner/flatter (even if longer) models like this 10800 GAUSS model, as it is more convenient to insert in a densely installed piping very close to the walls.

I waited a few days before actually making you a return.
In total objectivity, very clear disappearance of traces of limescale. There are still some whitish deposits but very small and I confirm that these small residual deposits leave with a sponge. I am thinking of buying the small magnets to try to completely eradicate this limescale problem.

Pensez aussi à bien nettoyer les anciens dépôts avec du vinaigre blanc. Vous verrez d'autant plus l'efficacité

This magnet really makes a big difference in my house where the water is so hard that it leaves visible marks on everything that is washed and dried (glasses, cutlery, shower enclosure etc...).Since I put this magnet on, there are far fewer marks, and the limescale that accumulates in places is easier to clean, it doesn't seem to have the same consistency as before. I recommend this product for sensitive skin too; I feel that I have less discomfort and tightness after the shower.

Seems to work but not powerful enough
In the two weeks since the aiment was installed, the limescale seems to be less stubborn, however for a standard pvc water inlet pipe, it seems that the power of the aimer is a bit too low. I would need the most powerful one for the whole house.

Amazing!
The first few days the result was obvious: the shampoo lathers more! the shower screen and the kettle are much less stained! the taps are no longer as stained and the slight traces go away with a wipe! We were sceptical... but it is to be recommended! Perfect packaging and fast delivery. The only slight concern is that the pipe, which has a round cross-section, does not fit well on the magnets, which have flat edges, but we have fixed it with clamps and it works very well!

I installed it 15 days ago on the main water supply and my mixer that I changed a year ago and that was already blocked, now works perfectly. I think the price is a bit high but if I had to change my mixer it would have cost me the same price. ps: the yellow "lighter" was not in the box and I think we don't need it. So why is it on the picture?

Efficiency of the supplier and the product!
I ordered and received the powermag 10800 gauss very quickly.
After a little more than 2 weeks of "action" on my water pipes, I noticed a decrease of the lime deposit in my kettle as well as a less rough feeling on my hands after the contact with water.
I am trying to improve these actions even more by exchanging the powermag 10800 gauss for the superior model powermag 12800 gauss which will go on the pipe located directly after the water meter...
Biopur granted me without hesitation an exchange with deduction of the price already paid, I also hope to receive a participation in the expenses of forwarding which are not lesser...!

I knew about this system but I didn't believe in it, then, a short time ago during a discussion with a neighbour and friend, I realised that she had no limescale problem at home: the previous owner of her house had installed this system on his installation. Two weeks ago I installed the powermag 10800 anti-limescale system and I am amazed, it works! The most obvious proof of this was my electric kettle, which until then I had to descale once a week. As soon as the magnets were installed, I removed the last traces of limescale and then I observed. Incredible, no more traces of limestone in the Nespresso tank, no more traces on the shower wall, the toilets get dirty more slowly. Very good value for money, compared to a water softener.

After 15 days of use
This scale remover is very small and easy to install.
The results: ( 58 m² apartment, one person.
In the stainless steel kitchen sink, the limescale no longer clings: a sponge wipe without any product is enough. In my water carafe, on the other hand, if I don't empty it every day, the limescale settles and is more adherent: vinegar is still required. On the other hand, if I empty it after each meal, it's OK.
I do the same thing with the water tank of my nespresso machine: empty it every night, refill it every morning, and the tank stays clear.
It's because of this requirement that I've taken off one star.
In the bathroom, a sponge is enough to clean the taps, without any product. I don't see any adhesion on my brown tiles. I still clean my bathtub with a product, but the cleaning is quick and easy.
In the toilet, it's difficult to judge: I'm still struggling with the formerly encrusted limescale.
Conclusion: as clearly stated, this device is NOT an anti-limescale device, but it seems to play its role: preventing limescale from becoming embedded.

I have just installed the powermag 10800 just after the meter. The reason for installing an anti-limescale device is that limescale is found in the faucet aerators, in the shower and even more so in the pipes, boilers and hot water tanks. The principle of this magnetic anti-limescale device is to avoid the formation of limescale plates, I suppose that a film will remain which should be easily removed. Merci pour votre commentaire. L'effet curatif de l'anti calcaire magnétique est assez faible. Il est conseillé de bien nettoyer sa robinetterie et autres avec du vinaigre blanc par exemple pour partir sur une installation plus saine. Le calcaire s'éliminera au fil du temps par érosion. Dans des cas extrêmes et de calcaire incrusté (très épais) depuis très longtemps, vous pouvez demander à votre plombier le nettoyage de votre installation. Ils ont des produits chimiques qui permettent un nettoyage en profondeur de votre réseau.

We were skeptical but we tried it! From the very first days, the water is different, the shampoo foams more, the toothpaste too.
